KUALA LUMPUR: Filem Redha memenangi tiga anugerah di Festival Filem Islam Antarabangsa Karzan yang berlangsung di Karzan, Russia, semalam. Pengarah filem ini, Tunku Mona Riza melalui Facebooknya berkata, filem itu memenangi dua anugerah khas iaitu Anugerah Khas Pilihan Presiden Republik Tatarstan untuk Kemanusiaan dalam Sinematografi yang disampaikan oleh Naib Presiden Tatarstan

"It is a great honour for a film like ours to be recognised by award winning juries. Alhamdulillah!," director Tunku Mona Riza posted on her Facebook account following the movie's triple win at the award ceremony held in Russia on 11 September.

Not everyone in society knows or understands autism, which is why director Tunku Mona Riza has come up with her film, "Redha", in hopes that she can develop a public awareness on the matter.

“Redha” is a film about Danial, a 6-year-old boy with autism, and the challenges he and his parents face. The independent motion picture was directed by Malaysian filmmaker Tunku Mona Riza, and she tells the Sun Daily that it was inspired by her close friend’s child, who has autism.
